Getting to Know Me…
Hi there! My name is Amanda and I am a professional photo organizer! You might be wonder just what exactly is a “professional photo organizer”? As a professional photo organizer, I help countless families manage and preserve their overwhelming photo collections.
How did I get into photo organizing you might ask? Well my story is probably very similar to yours.
In 2014 I inherited my childhood photo albums as my parents began to downsize to move into a smaller space. At the same time, I moved in with my now husband, and his family photos joined our collective collection. I wasn’t too sure what to do with everything, so they began to collect dust in a spare bedroom. A few years later, after the passing of my grandmother, I inherited her photo albums as well.
All of these photo albums (including my own) were starting to take up too much space in my home. Plus I was worried if there were ever a house fire, I wouldn’t be able to grab everything.
I knew it was time to do something!
After searching the internet for answers, ideas, courses and resources - I finally began my own journey of organizing my personal family photographs and memorabilia. Through a lot of trial and error, I finally created a system that worked and made sense to me.
Once everything was organized, I began digitizing the photos. I wanted to ensure there were digital backups in case anything happened to my home, PLUS I wanted to share the photos with my brothers, parents and cousins.
Fast forward to 2018, with the wonderful support of my husband, I made the leap and started Tidy Memories with the goal of helping others organize, preserve, share and ENJOY their family photos.
I want to help take the pain and guesswork out of organizing and preserving your photos. With my tried and true methods, I aim to remove the overwhelm to make organizing your photos a fun project - something you want to work on and not leave on the back burner forever.
Amanda Lundrigan was raised in the outskirts of Listowel, but currently resides in Stratford with her husband and french bulldog, Monty.
Tidy Memories is currently located in Stratford, Ontario but we service the surrounding areas including, but not limited to: Mitchell, Listowel, New Hamburg, Kitchener, Waterloo, Woodstock, London, and St Mary’s.
This was my grandmother’s photo collection. I inherited 16 photo albums. Once all photos were removed and sorted, they fit into 2 photo boxes.
I truly do believe " A picture is worth a 1000 words."
I love how an image can capture and tell a story. Much like the paintings, sculptures, mosaics and drawings of the ancient past tell the stories of Kings & Queens, our family photographs tell the stories of our family and ancestors. And these stories deserve to be passed down for future generations to enjoy and understand where they come from.
My love for visual arts started at a very young age. I was always the crafty kid and loved to paint & draw. In high school I fell in love with photography and art history, which led me to the University of Guelph to pursue a degree in Art History. While here I took classes in traditional photography and darkroom techniques, graphic design, museum studies along side my traditional art history classes.
Through Tidy Memories I am able to combine my love of photography, art and history in a way that can help families preserve both their family photographs and their family history they tell.
If you currently feel overwhelmed by your photo collection, I am here to help!

Tidy Memories:
When my grandfather passed away, it was pretty overwhelming trying to figure out what to do with all of my grandparents' old photos. We were debating on if we should split the photo albums between us, choose our favourites or maybe whether somebody could take the time to digitize everything. Luckily a quick google search led us to Amanda and we couldn't be happier. In a very timely manner, she provided our family with high quality, digital photos and her price was very fair. We honestly couldn't be happier and we 100% recommend Amanda and her services to anybody in a similar situation.

Amanda, I was impressed from your first email response to my inquiry. You are compassionate, responsive and professional. You guarded our precious photos while in your possession (a big deal to me), made it so easy and delivered high quality scans. We are overjoyed at having our family photos preserved for our families. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
