We scan all printed photos at 600 dpi and all negatives and slides at 3000 dpi. This will allow you to print out enlargements twice the size of the original. For example, if we scan a 4”x6” photograph at 600 dpi, you will be able to reprint it as an 8”x10” without losing any detail.

Your photos are your whole life, we completely understand that it can be nerve wracking to hand them off to someone else. While your photos are in our possession, we do everything we can to keep them safe. Your Photos will be placed inside their own plastic tote bin or bins on our shelves, off of the floor. Each bin is labeled with your name and co tact information. We also perform regular monthly checks of our smoke detectors and we have an office fire extinguisher just in case.

There is no deposit charge to get started.

Once your photos are received we will start scanning them. When the scanning is complete we will send you an invoice and arrange for a pick-up/drop-off date.

Absolutely! We offer free pick-up and delivery of your photo projects if you live within 25 km of Stratford. If you live outside of the 25 km radius, there will be a $35 travel fee added to your invoice once your project is complete.

Absolutely! We never throw out or dispose of any client materials - EVER!
We believe in keeping your original printed photos & negatives as a secondary backup. If anything were to happen to your digital files, you will always have the option of scanning them again.

We also recomend storing your printed photos, negatives etc in archival safe storage containers. Tidy Memories will provide these for you - just let us know you would like a quote when filling out the booking form.

Once your photos & videos have been scanned or converted, we will return the digital files to you on a USB flash drive. One is included in each project at no charge.

If you would like additional USB flash drives of your scanned photos (for example, one for each sibling or child) we charge $20 for each additional drive.

We will create digital folders to match the physical organization of your photos & videos. For example, if you have photos separated into envelopes by year or by person - we will create digital folders with matching years or names.

Don’t worry if your photos aren’t organized! We will scan them as is and label a single folder with your name instead.

Sure! If you feel comfortable with shipping your photos & videos - we will convert them for you! Just reach out to let us know this is what you would like to do, and we will provide you with our mailing address.

If you do ship us your items, we always recommend shipping by FedEx or UPS with tracking for reliability and rapidness.
